Destinations for Year 13 Students who left in 2023
There were 118 students in the cohort.
University:
- 78 students gained a place at university (including 8 students with deferred entry for 2024)
Of the 78 students who secured a university place:
- 56 students gained entry to their first choice university (72% of those who applied to university)
- 4 students secured their insurance choice university place
- 13 students secured a university place through clearing
1 student who had a conditional offer for Medicine was successful in gaining their place.
Progression routes other than university:
48 students have a progression route for 2023-2024 as follows (this includes the 8 deferred entry university applicants):
- 23 students have or are seeking jobs
- 9 students have apprenticeships, including 2 degree apprenticeships
- 3 students are studying FE/HE courses
- 12 students are working or volunteering as part of a gap year before applying/re-applying/going to university
- 1 student on an internship
In summary, 70 students (59%) gained a university place for 2023 entry and 48 students (41%) have an alternative progression route for 2023-2024 (this latter statistic includes the 8 deferred entry students who will go to university in 2024 and are on a gap year this year).
