Home-School Agreement

At Spalding High School, we believe that a strong partnership between the school, students, and parents is essential for every child’s success. Our Home-School Agreement sets out the shared responsibilities and expectations that help create a supportive and thriving learning environment. By working together, we can ensure that each student achieves their full potential academically, socially, and personally.

We ask all parents, carers, and students to read and agree to these commitments as a symbol of our joint dedication to excellence, well-being, and mutual respect. Together, we can build a positive and enriching school experience for all.

As a student of Spalding High School, I will:
  • Attend school regularly and be on time.
  • Bring all the equipment I need each day.
  • Follow the school guidelines for behaviour.
  • Wear the correct school uniform and be tidy in my appearance.
  • Complete all classwork and homework on time and to the best of my ability.
  • Be polite and helpful to others.
  • Behave appropriately in the Form Room at break and lunchtimes.
  • Keep the school environment tidy.
As a parent/carer, I:
  • Recognise the importance of my child's full and punctual attendance at school.
  • Will aim to communicate promptly with the school over any concerns or problems which may affect my child's work or behaviour.
  • Will fully support the school's policies and guidelines for behaviour and uniform.
  • Understand the importance of homework and support the use of homework diary/study planner.
  • Recognise the importance of attendance at Parents' Evenings and discussions about my child's progress.
The School will:
  • Aim to establish a secure, happy, and supportive environment where students develop their potential to the full.
  • Contact parents if there is a problem with attendance or punctuality.
  • Let parents know about any serious concerns or problems that affect their child's work or behaviour.
  • Regularly set, mark, and monitor homework in accordance with the published homework timetable.
  • Provide an annual Parents' Evening during which progress will be discussed.
  • Send home interim progress cards and an annual report.
  • Keep parents informed about school activities through regular letters home, newsletters, and notices about special events.
