Year 13 Destinations 2025
There were 89 students in the cohort.
University applications:
- 71 students (80%) gained a place at university for 2025 entry and 4 students with deferred entry places for 2026.
Of the 71 students who secured a university place:
- 55 students gained entry to their first-choice university (78% of those who applied to university)
- 11 students secured their insurance choice university place
- 5 students secured a university place through clearing
Students have chosen 42 different universities with 7 students going to the University of Leicester. 29 students (41%) are going to Russell Group universities and the Russell Group universities with most students securing a place are the University of Sheffield (5 students) and the University of York (5 students).
One of the two students who had a conditional offer for Medicine was successful in gaining their place and one student gained a place to study Medicine in Georgia in early September after applying after A Level results day.
One student with a conditional Cambridge offer was successful.
For the third successive year, the most popular degree discipline was Law (9 students).

Progression routes other than university:
18 students (19%) have a progression route for 2025-2026 as follows (this includes the 4 deferred entry university applicants):
- 3 students have or are seeking jobs (these may be in roles they had previously during sixth form until they decide on alternative plans/positions)
- 3 students have apprenticeships
- 12 students are working or volunteering as part of a gap year before applying/re-applying/going to university
Summary:
71 students (80%) gained a university place for 2025 entry and 18 students (20%) have an alternative progression route for 2025-2026 (this latter statistic includes deferred entry students who will go to university in 2025 and are on a gap year this year).
Our students continue to be extremely successful in achieving their desired progression route.
