“All young people moving into post 16 education and who require school or college transport must make a new transport application, even if they are staying at the same school.  Applications can be made online at www.lincolnshire.gov.uk/school-college-transport.  The transport application should be made as soon as possible and preferably before 31 May.

Please be advised that there is a charge for post 16 transport provision.

The current annual cost is:

• a one-off payment of £570
• or, three termly instalments of £193 (a total of £579)
• or, six instalments of £96.50 (a total of £579)

Once the school transport team has received the application they will write to the parent or carer with details of how to pay the post 16 charge.

The payment or part payment should be paid before 31 July to guarantee that transport will be in place by the September start date.

If the payment has been made but transport is no longer needed, the parent or carer should inform the school transport team before the start of the September term and the payment will be reimbursed.  If the pupil decides to go to a different school a further application will be needed.
