The School is so proud of our Year 11 students who have worked tremendously hard on their GCSE studies over the last two years. Their results are a testament to their dedication, hard work and commitment alongside the support of their parents and carers and the dedication of our experienced staff. With an impressive display of resilience and determination, students have achieved remarkable success across a wide range of subjects.

Almost 1500 qualifications were taken by our Year 11 students this summer, 39% were graded 7–9; the very highest grades possible. The High School results compare very favourably with the national Grade 7-9 attainment rate of 21.8% and regional rate of 18.2% Grade 7-9.

The following students all achieved an average grade of at least 7.5 across their ten, eleven or twelve subjects!

We continue to be very proud of our students’ EBacc results with 83.4% of students meeting this standard. In both English, and Mathematics, 98.6% of students achieved Grade 4 or above. Several departments recorded exceptional performances, with particularly strong outcomes in Art (100% Grade 5+), German (90%), Biology (98% Grade 5+), Business (88% Grade 5+), Drama (85% Grade 5+), Design Technology (100% 5+), Food & Nutrition (100% 5+), History (87% Grade 5+), Latin (94% 5+), Music (100% Grade 5+), PE (89% 5+), Religious Studies (89% Grade 5+) and Textiles (100% Grade 5+).

We wish all our students the very best of luck and every success in the future; they have been rewarded with grades that will stand them in good stead for the next step in their education. Many Year 11s will be returning to the High School in September to take up A Level courses along with a large number of transferees from other schools. We are looking forward to welcoming them all.
