A-Level Students Rewarded with Excellent Results

We are so proud of our Year 13 students - they have done extremely well! Our students have worked incredibly hard and have once again been rewarded with an excellent set of A-Level results. These achievements are a testament to their commitment, determination and resilience, as well as the unwavering support of their parents and carers and the dedication of our highly experienced staff. Our students have approached their exams with maturity, positivity and perseverance. They deserve great credit for the way they have risen to the challenge and achieved their goals. Our staff are also to be highly commended for their expertise, encouragement and tireless efforts in ensuring that students are not only exceptionally well taught but also fully prepared to succeed in their examinations.
More than 300 qualifications were taken by the Sixth Form this summer and our students achieved 57% of their grades at A*- B and the majority have secured places at their first-choice university. Students taking Art and Design, Criminology, and Drama achieved 100% A*- B grades with many other subjects achieving more than two thirds of their grades at A*- B, including English Language, Further Maths, Geography, History and Sociology. Our Extended Project Qualification students also achieved remarkably well again this year, with 79% A*- B and 100% A*- C grade success.
Spalding Grammar School and Spalding High School continue to successfully co-teach a growing and thriving range of A Level subjects. These courses also achieved successful results this year, with 100% of students attaining A*-C grades in German and Spanish, alongside excellent outcomes in Economics (84%) and French (83%).
In total, 63 students (63% of the cohort) achieved three or four A*- C grades across their subjects this year. Notable achievements include:

Our students are progressing on to a number of new opportunities including work, gap years and for the majority, university. Students have secured places to study a variety of disciplines such as: Architecture, Ecology and Conservation, Fashion Design, Forensic Science, Games Art and Design, Law, Medicine, Midwifery, Orthoptics, Physiotherapy and Politics and German.
Year 12 are also receiving results today, and we are as equally proud of them for their achievements. 100% of students passed their Level 3 Core Maths exams, with 73% gaining a grade A – a tremendous achievement.
