GCSE Religious Studies  1-9

All students at Spalding High School will now study for a GCSE full course in Religious Studies, starting in Year 9.

The two religions studied are Christianity and Sikhism and the examination board is Eduqas (the English branch of WJEC).

We are following route A and at the end of Year 11 students will sit three examination papers -:

Component 1 - Religious, Philosophical and Ethical Studies in the Modern World (2 hours long and 50% of the qualification)
Component 2 - Study of Christianity, beliefs and practices (1 hour long and 25% of the qualification)
Component 3 Option 5 - Study of Sikhism, beliefs and practices (1 hour long and 25% of the qualification)
